4 die after drinking fake alcohol bought at Panipat | Gurgaon News

ROHTAK: Four people died after allegedly consuming fake alcohol on Monday night in the Shamdi village of Sonipat and the Budsham village of Panipat district.
The deceased was identified as Surrender (35), Sun (30) and Ajay (31) inhabitants of the village of Shamdi in Sonipat, while Anil (32) was from Budsham in the Panipat district, police said.
According to the details, Anil, Ajay and Sunil worked in a sugar mill in Panipat, while Surender worked as a laborer in Shamdi village in Sonipat. The trio had consumed alcohol at the candy on Sunday evening and transported the remaining alcohol to the village where Surender with a Bunty had consumed it, they said.
On Monday, Anil’s health deteriorated and he passed away. Sources said Anil’s relatives cremated him believing he had died of a heart attack.
The affair emerged after the health of Surender, Sunil, Ajay and Bunty, who had also consumed alcohol, also deteriorated and they were rushed to Khanpur Medical College in Gohana, Sonipat.
Ajay died during treatment at Gohana, while Surender and Sunil were referred to PGIMS Rohtak. The duo then succumbed to PGMIS.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found that the raw liquor had been purchased from Panipat.
