While the three-day event includes dozens of activities ranging from a soccer tournament to the Native American powwow, artists’ market, Paws in the Park, and cable walkers, food is one of the big draws.

Kipona takes place September 4-6 along Riverfront Park and on City Island and returns this year to a full-scale celebration after last year. Dozens of vendors will sell festival foods such as crab cakes, fries, empanadas, hot dogs, soft pretzels and ice cream.
